I love these carriers. I spent years wishing Randall May would stop making carriers with more and more parts needing more and more tools. This carrier is easily adjustable with a drum key. It is light weight, sleek under a uniform and is very sturdy. The clip system is great! Easy to adjust angle of snares and easy to get on and off WITHOUT the issue of parts that break or fail like the old Pearl clips from Randall May. Less parts on these, than the old carriers. You get a belly plate, j bars and the tube structure. Less moving parts means less breaking parts.
My only complaint would be the back padding. While it is incredibly comfortable, it can sometime roll under the bar and get uncomfortable between your shoulder blades. This is a minor complaint and doesn't happen often.
Overall, the best carrier I've used.

Not a bad stick at all. It was my go to with Pro-Mark before the DC8 was released last year. Pretty good feel and balance (A tiny bit front heavy, for my taste). They're durable and produce a good sound.

I give this stick a 5 out of 10. The thing is, it's not a terrible stick BUT, there are several great sticks on the market from each of the manufactures. Maybe, Vic was having issues a couple years ago when my line tried these but, I really didn't like the way they felt in my hand. More than anything, I couldn't stand the way they made our drums sound. The only benefit I found was the ability to click with all of the leftovers the following winter, after we'd switched.

As the pros list. This is a very quick stick. It's nice for meaty passages and roll patterns due to the longer than most taper giving it the rebound needed to execute well. It's smaller than the traditional sticks such as the Hardimon so younger hands may be able to use them as a stepping stone while still learning rudimental snare.
The biggest gripe, as also said: the sound is thin. That's really from playing style (it's basically MADE for the Cadets style under Aungst and before) and also the bead with it's reverse teardrop design. I would not recommend this for a snare line of less than 3 people due to those reasons. 4 or more snares should get you the sound and quality you want from the line.
All in all, great stick.
