VF Large Set
HeavyHitter Quadropad – Small (HHPQS)
• Options for 1 or 2 spock drums on small or large Quadropad (spock installation instructions included).
• Drum spacing is to scale with real drums - rim to rim. The pads are spaced from the playable part of each drum, just inside of the drum shell's bearing edge.
• Spock drum pads are made with thinner gum rubber than the 4 main quad drums, allowing for a more authentic feel.
• Open cell foam rubber mounted on backside for the ultimate in skid-resistance.
• The pads are laid out accurately and cut for ALL playing areas; both standard and scrape.
• Quadropad Small (HPPQS): quads with an 8" #1 drum.
Laminates for the Quadropad Small are also available (see below).

I decided a while ago to learn to play quads, so I read the Tim Jackson review of the major 3 pads, and went with the Vic Firth model. All I can say is wow, what more could you ask for? Accurate layout, easy to follow directions for spock installation, realistic feel with the addition of laminates, and of course, purple paint. My hat is off to Bill Bachman and Vic Firth for this one of a kind product.

This is by far, the most realistic pad I've ever played on. I also reviewed the Xymox pad, which I also, unfortunately own. This pad kills that pad in every way. The only thing I'd say this could use is maybe rim spacers. That would be a definite plus...Do I feel an invention coming on? Great Job VF and Heavy Hitters for making such an awesome pad. Oh, and you can use this on a stand. it balances perfectly well on a snare tripod stand. and the foam rubber on the bottom is awesome too, NO scratches on my table!!!!!

This is the best tenor practice pad I've played yet. Even though I've only played three other different pads, this one is the one to go with. The spacing is perfect compared to the real tenors. If you find the right place to buy this pad, it actually costs less than some tenor pads out there. One of the only cons from this pad is that you get an ugly click sound if you hit the purple board, and it may leave a small mark in the pretty purple board. Other than that, I highly recommend this wonderful pad to anyone who needs silent, accurate practice.

These pads have a great feel. The rebound isn't too high like REEL FEEL pads, it's just right. These are laid out just like real tenors. With the laminates, scraps and all things can be played. The only problem is the spock pads. Once placed, they will leave residue and strip paint off the board if you move them. All in all, these will help any player become better ,and you'll save $$$ on tenor heads.

It feels great and looks great and I love having it but it is a little too loud to play at night and sometimes my parents get mad and tell me it's annoying. I hate not being able to practice ALL of the time so that's the only reason I gave it a nine. Otherwise it's great!
