This is a simple, well built, light weight vest. It has a minimum number parts and the J-bars adjust with a drum key.
I do wish the J-bar brackets clamped onto the bars (like Randal May carriers) rather than just screwing the set-screws against them.
My only caveat is that, as a one-piece vest, it is sized for the average player. So young and/or smaller-than-average people just won't be able to use it -- that's who the V-Bar Carrier is for. Basically it is built for an average-height or taller high school (or older) male and the petite need not apply.
With it's design limitations in mind, this is a great vest carrier.
