Description: The Dynasty USA Telescoping Marching Quad Drum Stand is the new "State of the Art" in marching drum stands. It is designed to hold Dynasty USA marching quad drums. This revolutionary new stand is made of steel and powder coated aluminum. The result is a very durable stand that is unbelievably lightweight, and fully height adjustable. One leg of the stand "telescopes" inward or outward to allow the stand to be firm and stable on any uneven surface (like turf or rough terrain). Rough weather and strong winds are no problem for the Dynasty USA Telescoping Marching Quad Drum Stand.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): stable as bedrock, no tools needed, works with any j-bar-using tenors
Cons: heavy, rather tall for most players

Good Things:

This stand is extremely simple to set up and requires *no tools* to assemble or adjust -- everything has a t-handled knob.

Square tubing means the upper portion of the stand can't rotate.
The tripod feet have a very wide stance, making this stand very steady -- there is *no* fear of tipping.

Combined with it's steady footing, the sturdiness of the stand results in very little motion from the drums -- they stay put and don't wiggle: they might as well be sitting on the floor.

Bad Things:

My main beef is that the stand is simply rather tall. I'm 5'9" (very average) and I have this stand adjusted as low as I can get it. In fact, I wouldn't mind adjusting it down another 1/2" to 1" if it were possible. SO, anyone shorter is going to have to put up with the height or stand on a box. Given how incredibly steady this stand is, I think Dynasty could shorten the legs an inch or two which would allow the shortening of the central tube.

Also, contrary to Dynasty's description, this sucker is heavy. I'm sure it's lighter than a comparable stand if one exists, but it is not, objectively, a light-weight object.

If this stand could adjust lower, I'd give it a 10.
