Construction
Overall, it's solid as a rock. You could probably stand on the thing to change light bulbs.
The height adjustment is ultra simple and accurate. Just loosen one wing nut on each end of the instrument and use a little crank to raise it. One thing to watch out for here, the height adjustments are independent. If you're making a large change, you'll have to go back and forth between the two to keep the frame from getting too out of whack.
After a couple years, there are no annoying rattles or buzzes anywhere in the frame or resonators. I talked to Janis Potter about hers and, even after a couple years of heavy touring, hers didn't have any rattles either.
Sound
Heavy on the low overtones. The sound is akin to Marimba One, but because the bars are thicker the sound is a little fuller and more focused. Another close comparison would be with Kori.
The quality and consistency of the instrument is great. Right out of the box there was only one clunker on the instrument.
Playability
The spacing is perfect. It combines the close spacing and narrow low-end bars of Marimba One with the bar thickness and durability of Yamaha. You can really lay into it with no fear of cracking anything.

Stand

Absolutely beautiful sound. Played with this instrument for a little under a year and can't find too many complaints. The spacing like said above is perfect and the wood durability if phenominal. From ppp to ffff the marimba will sustain a wonderful sound without fear of cracking.
The one bad thing I can say is that the stand is a little to fragile for the size of the marimba. As you can see this thing is a beast. Look at that stand. Does it look like it will last? Although raising and lowering the marimba is incredibly easy, it's come apart more than a few times when being moved even properly.
Overall I would say this is a great investment. It doesn't get much better than this. Enjoy.
