From the diesel-fumed parking lot jungle, join six of Drum Corps International’s premier battery percussion units as they prepare to step into the performance arena. Follow each group through their pre-show warmup routines, parking yourself right in the action as these smoking lines melt asphalt with a fury of fast hands and solid beats.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): 6 corps on 1 dvd
Cons: price

Was looking for a lot DVD to spend some of Christmas money on when this was released by DCI.

All 6 of the segments follow the same basic format. Exercises and chunking show music in the arc for 5-7 minutes in half uniform, 1 minute of rock music while they put uniform on, 5-7 minutes of exercises and chunking the show. Repeat same 10-14 minute process in another lot.

The Crown, Cadets, Madison, and Bluecoats segments were each around 20 minutes. The Cavaliers and Phantom Regiment segments were both close to a half hour in length. Making the total running time around 2 hours 20 minutes.
Almost everything is in an arc, battery only. You get a little tracking action with Madison and Crown. The Cavaliers have a segment where they ensemble with the pit.

Somewhat enjoyable if you enjoy watching lines in the lot.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Excellent quality, and video footage.
Cons: Some corps don't have as much footage as others.

So I just got this DVD in the mail today, it took about two weeks to get here, but it was worth the. There are some sweet beats on this DVD to say that least. I was very impressed with everything they play.

This DVD shows a lot of show segments and some exercises, what I like is they don't the "Cavies Parking Lot" thing and show each exercise literally twenty times. They show everything twice, or maybe three times, and keep on moving. There are multi-camera angles so you aren't just staring down the front of the arc.

Unfortunatly, you can definetly tell that this was not made specifically by drummers. The transitions are a little cheesy, and sometimes they show things that make you think "DCI Battery Noob" haha, but all the same, it takes a tiny bit away from the DVD.

Overall this DVD was tight, I recommend it if you can't find any new lot footage from youtube or google video.
