Drumline Parking Lot Video - Volume I - 2001
The first in a series, Volume I was shot at various preshow warm-ups throughout the summer of 2001, this tape has everything an aspiring drummer needs for an up close look at The Cavaliers style and technique.
Focusing on the battery warm-up exercises through multiple preshow repetitions of the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Corner Movements of The Cavaliers Championship 2001 repertoire, this tape is designed as an excellent rehearsal tool.
Turn it on, play along or simply sit back and enjoy. The Cavaliers are happy to bring you the first installment in an ongoing Drumline Video Series.

Positive aspects of the product (pros):
Up-close footage of the line, visible technique
Cons:
Repetative, grainy video
In this, The Cavaliers' first foray into parkinglot videos, they fall short of the standard.
The video is on the grainy side, as most videotapes are prone to be, which prevents the viewer from seeing a lot of what they want to see. While some aspects of the technique are viewable, most, if not all of the nuances are lost. Experienced viewers can probably transcribe most of the material from the tape, but novices will probably be out of luck.
It contains some of the warmups that the line uses as well as show excerpts, both of which were recorded during the day and at night. The night footage is nearly useless to try to actually examine what it is the line is playing.
The video is mostly snares and tenors. The basses are given lip services and the front ensemble is basically ignored.
The video is okay if you just want to hear the line play through the exercises and the show, but that's pretty much it.

Pretty musch the same as MAM said, you get to hear and see them progress thru the season
Cons:
Pretty much the same as MAM said
It is a decent video, not the best not the worst but just right. Could have had some more bass drum shots and maybe some member interviews, but hey, it is the first video. When the video is clear you can really break down the technique if that is your thing. Also like I mentioned, you get to hear the dirt at the start of the tape and you can hear it get better towards the end of the tape. A full run thru on the field would w/just drums would have been cool butlike I said, it was their first drum video. Overall good video and will be a good one to add to your library.
