Positive aspects of the product (pros):
Cons:

Ok, i got this snare about 6 months ago for my birthday. The heads on it, even when tuned decently make the drum sound like a high pitched timbale. After i got a white max, the drum sounded a lot better, a lot tighter. But i still couldnt get that really high crack out of it. It has a pretty deep sound to it. The hardware on the drum is great, what else can you expect from pearl :]. Overall good drum.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): finish, sound, crisp, look
Cons: cost

We just got an entire set of carbonply's for the entire line from pearl last year. We got them tuned, from the get go they sounded great. The snares cut excellently with a nice crisp clean sound. The tenors aren't anything special, pretty much like regular championship tenors, i'd say a little warmer. The basses however sound wonderful. Our staff spent hours tuning them and it payed off. We've even had a few drops and they've held up great. The only downsaid you could say is they are not lighter at all. I know, who cares. But pearl did advertise them as being lighter due to the carbonply.
