Positive aspects of the product (pros): Sound, flexible tensioning
Cons: bottom snares lose tensioning fast

The HTS 700 (and 800 starting to appear) is the de facto standard drum of pipe and drum bands, dominating market share around the world.

The drums are solidly built and can accomodate a number of different head and tensioning combinations, allowing for a variety of sounds to be produced by different groups. The bottom snare assembly provides a number of adjustment points for the wires, that allows for an artist's touch on the fine-tuning of the drums.

Honestly, there's not a ton else you can say. If you're in pipe band, you already know about the drum. They're well worth the money spent, and will last (and have lasted) bands for many, many years.
