Positive aspects of the product (pros): Fulcrum notch, balance
Cons: Longevity

The line I instruct uses the IP FB series bass mallets. The fulcrum notching is truly unique, as the fit into your palm is unlike that of a VF Corpsmaster mallet (in a good way). This mallet is very light-weight, which makes it vulnerable to cracking, depending on the demands of your playing. However, I can deal with replacing mallets occasionally, if it means playing with a high quality product which exceeds my expectations.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Excellent balance and feel, great fulcrum notched grip, heads don't deform or pop off as easily as other brands
Cons: Shaft strength.

Our Bassline uses these mallets in the outdoor season. The balance of these mallets are easily the best on the market. Rolls and fast notes are very easy to play with these. The fulcrum notched handle is one of the greatest things Innovative Percussion has brought to the market, providing an extra level of comfort. It also shows new players how to hold it properly. The felt heads are more durable than Vic Firth mallets, and don't deform anywhere near as easily and never pop off.

The shaft strength is the only place where this is lacking. Our show required many rim clicks, and bass mallets started cracking after relatively light use, but then again, those mallets were at least 1 year old.

This is easily the best bass mallet on the market, and I highly recommend it.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): it's a decent mallet
Cons: top heavy, too long, too thin at the bottom

they sound good, no complaints there, but the fulcrum idea sucks, and makes the end of the mallet way too thin. also, these mallets are extremely top heavy (from 3rd bass down) and are pretty innefective.
use Vic Firth mallets. PLEASE
